Before We Arrive: Move-In/Move-Out Cleaning is designed for vacant or substantially cleared homes. Personal belongings, loose trash, and items being discarded should be removed before our arrival. Homes needing extra attention due to heavy buildup or overall condition can be flagged during booking so we can plan for the additional work. Our service does not include junk removal, carpet cleaning, repairs, or exterior window cleaning.

Baseboards are sparkling, our master bathroom glass door was perfectly see-through with all hard water spots removed, and attention to detail throughout our home was amazing. What’s included in a move-in or move-out cleaning?

A full clean of the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas — inside cabinets, drawers, and closets, appliance interiors and exteriors (including the refrigerator and oven), reachable interior windows and sills, baseboards, reachable vents, light fixtures, doors, frames, switches, and wall plates. It’s one complete scope included in every visit, not a menu of add-ons. (Reachable interior windows only — exterior windows aren’t included.)

Do you clean before or after the movers?

Move-out cleans are typically scheduled after furniture and belongings are removed, so we have full access to every surface. If your schedule allows it, booking the clean with a day or two of buffer before your final walkthrough or key handoff gives time for any touch-ups. Move-in cleans are typically scheduled before you move your furniture in, for the same reason.

How is this different from a deep cleaning?

Move-in/move-out cleaning is built around a vacant or nearly-vacant home and a move-day timeline — full room resets, cabinets, and closets. Our deep cleaning service is for occupied homes that need a buildup-focused refresh. If you’re not sure which fits, contact us and we’ll help you sort it out.

Can I schedule around my moving timeline?

How much does move-in or move-out cleaning cost?

Do you remove trash or leftover items?

We focus on cleaning, not hauling. Light debris that comes up during the cleaning itself is handled as part of the service, but large trash removal, leftover furniture, or extensive item removal isn’t included. If your home will have significant leftover items before your cleaning, let us know when you book so we can confirm the best fit.

How long does a move-in or move-out cleaning take?

It depends on the size and condition of the home, but most move-in or move-out cleanings take a few hours to a full day with a crew on site. Since these are usually tied to a moving deadline, we work with you on timing when you book so the cleaning fits your schedule.

Do I need to be there, or can you access an empty property?

You don’t need to be there in person. Many move-in and move-out cleanings happen in an empty or in-transition home, and we’re glad to coordinate access with a lockbox, gate code, or your landlord or property manager — whatever works for your situation.

Should the cleaning happen before or after the movers?

For a move-out clean, it works best after everything has been moved out of the home — furniture and boxes in the way make it hard to reach floors, baseboards, and closets underneath. For a move-in clean, we recommend scheduling before your moving truck arrives so your new place is fully clean before it fills up with boxes. If your move-out and move-in dates overlap or your schedule is tight, let us know when you book and we’ll work around your movers’ timeline as closely as we can.

Can you provide documentation of the cleaning for my landlord or property manager?

Yes — we can provide a dated invoice or receipt showing the cleaning was completed, which many tenants find useful to keep for their own move-out records. We can’t advise on deposit or lease matters, and a cleaning receipt isn’t a guarantee about your security deposit; for questions about your specific lease or deposit, check your rental agreement or contact your landlord or property manager directly.
